What the Readiness Plan is
Most people moving abroad treat this as five separate research projects. Then they find out the order was wrong.
The Readiness Plan runs your full cross-border picture in one session, across five domains, in the order they actually interact. You walk out with the document. We pick up from there if you want, or you take it and run with it yourself.
01
Lifestyle
What you actually want your Costa Rica life to look like.
02
Money
What you need, what you have, what is coming in.
03
Taxes
What shifts when you cross the border. Foreign accounts, treaty elections, passive income rules.
04
Insurance
Health, property, what is covered where.
05
Estate
Where your assets live and who they go to.
Natural order. Every domain informs the next.
The deliverable
A written page you can actually use.
Not a recap email. Not a proposal. A real document, prepared for your situation, sequenced so you know what to do first and when.

Who runs the session
I built this for the move I made myself.
I'm a Certified Financial Planner. I left a comfortable U.S. practice to build one that serves the people I was already trying to help: Americans who've decided Costa Rica is the next chapter and need their financial life to catch up to that decision.
The five-domain framework came from watching what people actually get wrong when they try to sort this out alone. The Readiness Plan exists because most people don't need ongoing advice yet. They need one good day of clarity so they can stop second-guessing the move.
This is a working session. You walk out with a document, not a proposal.
Before you book
The questions people ask first.
Is this a sales call?
No. It’s a paid working session with a written deliverable. If continuing makes sense for both of us we’ll talk about it after the Plan is in your hands. If it doesn’t, you still keep the Plan.
I’m 18 months out. Is it too early?
Twelve to twenty-four months out is when the Plan is most valuable. Several of the actions have lead times measured in tax years, so earlier means more options on the table.
I already have a U.S. advisor. Does this conflict?
It usually doesn’t. Most U.S. advisors aren’t equipped for cross-border specifics. The Plan gives your existing advisor a clear scope to work to, or surfaces gaps they should know about.
What if I just want the document and not the call?
The document is built live during the session. It needs your real situation in real time. There isn’t a version of this that works without the working session.
What happens after the session?
Within five business days you receive the one-page Plan plus the working notes behind it. You have a 30-day window to email follow-up questions. After that, you decide whether you want ongoing work or you take the Plan and execute on your own.
The clarity is on the other side of one session.
Stop holding the whole picture in your head.
Walk out of one session with a document that lays it out. Five domains, three priorities, dates that move you forward.
$800. Credits toward the full Cross-Border Blueprint if you continue. Refunded if it isn’t clear and useful.
